THOMPSON & FRASER'S BEST WHITEWATER

Day 1: Ashcroft to Spences Bridge - Thompson
Day 2: Spences Bridge to Lytton - Thompson
Day 3: Boston Bar to Yale - Fraser R. & Hell's Gate

This package combines our two-day Desert Getaway, a one day Fraser River & Hell's Gate excursion, and a comfortable stay at the resort.

The run between Ashcroft and Spences Bridge features Black Canyon, a 150-million year old sedimentary canyon wall. A golden eagle nest is perched as a sentinel on its cliffs. This is dry, desert country with gently rolling hills covered in sagebrush, prickly pear cactus, and ponderosa pines. The river is warm, the rapids friendly and fun.

The legendary rapids on day two need no explanation. These are the stuff of legends and you'll hear the stories.

The section of the Fraser that we run was discovered by explorer Simon Fraser in 1808. He walked along Indian trails and rope ladders and found the canyon treacherous. In his diary he wrote: "We had to travel where no human being should venture - for surely we have encountered the gates of hell."

For a mini-vacation that combines the excitement of big rapids and a relaxing float along stretches of flat water, choose this one.
